Robert Felps, CEO
Robert strives to simplify the complex. He’s spent years working on large, complex problems and providing streamlined, automated workflow solutions that provide huge savings to his vast array of clients, who often say “I didn’t know you could make it work this easily.”
Using his out-of-the-box vision and curiosity he has saved his clients, including Fortune 50s, millions of dollars in development costs and ongoing operations. He focuses on architecting next generation applications that save time, money and improve the bottom line. His ingenious approach to solving problems has led to a cybersecurity matrix for clients of all size, intuitive business continuity diagrams, simplified contingency plans, innovative cybersecurity guides and automated workflow tools that make work life easier.
Robert is fueled by passion to serve others and make a difference. As CyberCompass’ CEO his goal is for companies to become cyber resilient by providing a standardized base, yet customizable cybersecurity, privacy, and compliance program to survive and thrive in asymmetrical cyberwarfare that every company is facing today. He has spoken nationally on his unique approach to cybersecurity, compliance, and privacy.
In his free time, apparently between Midnight and 5AM, Robert enjoys playing on heavy equipment (his wife refers to them as toys) at his ranch in Texas.
Clint Eschberger, CIO
A twenty year veteran of the IT industry delivering SaaS solutions, helping companies migrate applications to cloud solutions, including migrations to Microsoft Office 365, Google Apps and other cloud based solutions. Experienced in technology, consulting, virtualization, cloud, software, CIO, CTO, product, marketing, research, product management, business continuity, disaster recovery, co-location data center, and hosting.
David Burns, VCISO, VP of Virtual Services
David has 25 years of professional IT experience, including over 15 years leading an enterprise IT organization at The University of Texas at Austin. He has led projects securing complex environments supporting cutting-edge research, government agencies, and public facilities. David has served as a federal law enforcement officer and worked with DoD, Federal, and State law enforcement agencies on computer forensics and investigations training. Having delivered lectures on computer security, compliance, and ethical hacking over the years at UT, one of David’s strengths is being able to clients make sense of complicated subjects and using a minimum of industry acronyms. When he’s not helping clients get a handle on their IT security he’s either out biking the roads and trails of central Texas or playing his Telecaster a little too loud.
Patrick Mahurin, Customer Success Coordinator, Privacy Product Manager
Patrick Mahurin specializes in compliance, privacy program management, and cybersecurity risk assessments. With extensive experience in onboarding clients to SaaS platforms and guiding organizations through complex regulatory landscapes, Patrick is passionate about simplifying compliance processes and embedding privacy-by-design principles into innovative solutions. Whether managing professional services or delivering tailored training programs, Patrick is dedicated to helping clients achieve their compliance goals while fostering strong, lasting relationships.
